A very warm welcome to Mature Woman Fitness!

This is a resource for all the beautiful and wise women who now find themselves in, or approaching, midlife. You will typically be in your mid- 40’s and older – however if you are younger, you are also most welcome here! One thing is for sure, we all age with the passing of time.

This site will address not only the obvious meaning of the word “fitness”. That is, physical fitness. Although important, it is not the only important thing for our stage of life. We will look at body, soul and spirit of the mature woman. We will explore what is total fitness as it pertains to body, soul and spirit.

There are dedicated resources for babies, children, teenagers, pregnant women and senior ladies, but not much for us who are sitting firmly in the middle, between youth and old age. Why ever not? We have the wisdom and experience our younger counterparts lack, and the energy and drive our senior counterparts no longer have. Of course, there are always exceptions to every rule! There are some senior ladies in their 70’s and 80’s who still run marathons. I can’t do that. I do not want to do that, and it is not my skills set, but how greatly I admire them!
